LOCATION A relaxing walk on the beach just 300 meters from the hotel or right around the corner at the Wapenplein to the various shopping-walking streets, bars and restaurants. The Casino Kursaal and the Leopold park as well as the cultural center "De Grote Post" are a 300-meter walk from the hotel. On the other hand, the Ostend train station is 900 meters away to travel to another destination. As you can read, you will always have some form of entertainment at hand.

ACCOMMODATION The rooms at Hotel Cardiff are equipped with a minibar, work desk, flat screen TV with digital HD cable channels, fans, USB sockets. Situated in the very heart of the “Bel Epoque” District of Ostend, our city by the sea, the “Villa Les Pâquerettes” lies in walking distance of the beach of course, but equally on merely a few hundred yards away from the Wellington racetrack, the Casino, the golf course, the swimming pool, the library, the KVO Versluys soccer stadium and the BCO basketball stadium. The “Bel Epoque” district was realized under the reign of our King Leopold II. Our residence was built in 1902 but has been recently totally and utterly renovated. The surrounding public domain has been restored to his former splendor in respect with the spirit and the style of the “fin de siècle”.

Built in 1929 as a grand summerhouse for General Timmerman by architect Vaerwyck, inspired by the famous English architect Lutyens.

Het Zonnehuis has been completely restored and redecorated by Bertrand Depry and Jan Vermast.

The house is now an exclusive Bed & Breakfast and regained its former grandeur. Het Zonnehuis has 4 luxury rooms, a Junior suite and a holiday house for 4 persons.

The large breakfast has also a British touch: English marmalades, English cheese, smoked salmon, eggs are made à la minute, Brussels waffles, fresh juice, yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit salad. Bread is coming from the bakery in the village. Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 11 a.m. at the big table, the small table or at the heated terrace.

Gastenverblijf De Arend is located in the historic centre of Nieuwpoort-city at 300 m from the tram/bus-stop. Three spacious comfortable rooms located on the first floor and three comfortable rooms located on the second floor accessible by stairs. The beautiful garden offers the possibility to relax during the beautiful days. On the ground floor you can enjoy in our ice cream shop artisan ice creams, pancakes and waffles. In the Hall there is a bicycle shed with loading point. Free parking is available in the streets behind our guesthouse. At walking distance you will find a wide selection of cosy restaurants.
