The 3-star Hotel Avenue is an original Art-Deco boutique hotel in Blankenberge (1927) that has been totally renovated (2009) and has parking for 25 cars as parking in Blankenberge is not always easy. The building with 2 holiday homes is located on the outskirts of the village of Leke with a clear view of the surrounding fields. Built in 1929 as a grand summerhouse for General Timmerman by architect Vaerwyck, inspired by the famous English architect Lutyens.

Het Zonnehuis has been completely restored and redecorated by Bertrand Depry and Jan Vermast.

The house is now an exclusive Bed & Breakfast and regained its former grandeur. Het Zonnehuis has 4 luxury rooms, a Junior suite and a holiday house for 4 persons.

The large breakfast has also a British touch: English marmalades, English cheese, smoked salmon, eggs are made à la minute, Brussels waffles, fresh juice, yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit salad. Bread is coming from the bakery in the village. Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 11 a.m. at the big table, the small table or at the heated terrace.

LOCATION A relaxing walk on the beach just 300 meters from the hotel or right around the corner at the Wapenplein to the various shopping-walking streets, bars and restaurants. The Casino Kursaal and the Leopold park as well as the cultural center "De Grote Post" are a 300-meter walk from the hotel.
